Jacksonville, Florida based Epoxy Flooring Manufacturer and Installer is seeking full-time (40-60-hour week) skilled epoxy flooring technician/installer who has installation knowledge of the epoxy flooring industry.

Epoxy flooring is a type of synthetic resin floor system that is installed on top of concrete substrates as a form of protection and decoration. The systems can comprise of several layers of thermosetting resin that are coated, trowelled or poured. Once the resin layers completely cure, the floor system forms a strong and permanent bond, acting as an impervious and decorative barrier to protect the substrate.

The duties of a floor installer/technician are to prepare to install the flooring by inspecting the surface, prepping the floor by mechanical means, repair any defects in the substrate, and prepare the materials for the install. The flooring installer installs the epoxy floor according to the specifications and plans.

This position requires arrival each Monday at our Jacksonville, Florida plant location. After arrival at our plant, from there you will be on the road for the week in our company trucks. Hotel, per-diem, all tools, equipment and material are furnished by the company.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of and skilled in installing Decorative Flooring Systems, Self-leveling mortars, Urethane Mortar Trowel downs, Coatings, MMA Systems and the ability to finish 4-, 6-, or 8-inch-high cove base.
• Must have the understanding of surface preparation by mechanical means only, familiar with a shot blast machine and experience using 30- & 32-inch diamond grinders to properly prepare a concrete surface.
• Must have a valid working driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with co-workers, foreman, the customer, and/or the General Contractor.

Job Details:

• Job requires out of town travel most weekdays. Travel is in our company trucks.
• Job requires lifting and moving 50 lb. buckets and drums.
• Work week is 40-60 hours. Generous Overtime. Some weekends required.
• All expenses paid including hotels and $40.00 per diem.
• Understanding of the checklist of what is needed for the project, and once at project site, what is needed for the day.
• Prep and install the flooring in steps according to company's procedures.
• Must be skilled in the installation of all resinous flooring systems, urethane cement, trowel downs, self-leveling mortars
• Skilled in running all floor surface preparation equipment.
• Must be skilled in the installation of radius cove of 4,6, and 8 inches high, and cant cove base.
• Housekeeping details are very important especially in the mixing of materials area. Keep tools organized and clean tools when needed.
• knowledge of Loading and Unloading trucks of epoxy materials and tools.
• Understanding the scope of work of the project before you get there and familiarize yourself with the project file.
• Ability to accept and read a company email. Ask questions about job if you are unclear.
• Ability to read, understand and sign off on company handbook.
• Ensure Plexi-Chemie quality standards are met every time.
• Work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every aspect of the job.
